Going abroad was definitely worthwhile. I think the timing, personally, could have been better given events that were out of control, but I really liked being able to learn about a new city, explore it, and learn, really, more about myself.

I had an ear syringe for free. It took a while to get an appointment, but I was able to sign up for the NHS for free and have this service done for free. |

My host city was very safe, but my phone was stolen while traveling around Europe, and I know other people living in London whose phones were stolen there. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I think I would stick with the same program, but try to take different courses. I really liked being in London, but my academic experience was no where close to what I get at Wellesley College. I wish there was a way to combine the academic rigor of schools like Oxford and Cambridge but with the London location. Also, some part of me wishes I had a more meaningful experience. While being in London pushed me out of my comfort zone a little bit, traveling somewhere else, where I could learn more about a different culture and possibly give back, might have been a more meaningful semester. |

Food was not expensive, but with transportation and cultural experiences, I spent probably just under $200 a week. |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Some basic safety/travel tips. While where I was living was really safe, the places I traveled to were not always. Things like you should bring a lock to a hostel, you shouldn't leave your phone out on a table, etc. |
