Studying Abroad in Milan, Italy Past Review

Though there were some negative aspects, overall it was the best experience I have had in college so far. Very worthwhile to say that you took classes in another country but get to travel the country at the same time.

A lot of the classes were just watching documentaries or something that I could learn on my own. I felt like I was supposed to go to Milan for a more hands on experience but I paid almost $6,000 in tuition for things that I could do on my own. |

On-site administration of your program |
There was no "on-site" director. He lived almost an hour away from us and he never answered our emails or messages about questions or important things. A lot of us felt like he could not handle the responsibility of KEI. |

Only negative was that it was an hour commute to campus. |

We felt like our neighborhood was not really safe. My roommate had her wallet stolen during the program, I had bank fraud, and someone else in our class had someone climb through her windows at night and steal her passport, laptop, handbags, and wallet. Could be safer. |

The Nearly Native or Trail BlazerCraving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.' |
