I think most importantly on my trip, I gained confidence in my language speaking skills. Having to use the taxi and order at restaurants forced me to develop my use of the language and speak more instead of letting my fear get the best of me.

Yes
It was an amazing experience that gave me a lifetime of memories that I know I'll never forget. I met some amazing friends and learned so many skills in terms of my language development, and I gained more confidence as an international student living in Korea. I learned to get over my fears and to try new things, all while staying in the country of my dreams. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Start saving small increments well in advance, and really sit down to think about what you would purchase. Always have emergency back up money just in case you need to fly back home to your country or some other situation |

Watching TV shows without subtitles can help too, as it forces you to think about the context and how to translate the words. |
