My eyes were opened wider to different cultures and ways of life. I learned so much, and I know I've changed because of it. This was very worthwhile.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Eat at kimbab cheongu when you can. Cheap, delicious, worth it. Try to limit yourself from buying a lot of things (for friends or yourself) at the same time, it's easy to get carried away.Give yourself a budget for how much you expect to spend on souvenirs and other such things. |

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | Dont be afraid. They already know you're not native Korean. When you simply attempt to say something in Korean, they'll be amazed. Start by ordering food and getting groceries. Then continue on to do language exchange and try to apply your Korean to the real world. |

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I wish I knew more about the transportation systems. I'd never ridden in a taxi, or even SEEN a subway before. It was intimidating at first. That's all. I already knew a lot about the culture, so transportation was the biggest shock to me. |
