I learned a lot about life/being dependent, making friends, living in new places, how to cook simple meals, how to do grown up things!!!

There was no meal plan which was actually a blessing in disguise because I taught myself how to shop cost effectively and how to get by cooking basic meals.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I learned how to shop very cost effectively.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Rough estimates but.... without accommodation, 40 dollars max? Accommodation was about 200 a week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Find cheap super markets... like Aldis! Also, even though alcohol might be legal under 21, don't spend much money on it! Save it for adventures that you can go on instead!

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
