What I gained from studying abroad was how to make new friends and adapt to different cultures. I also learned to take responsibility for my finances as well as how to cope with being away from my family for six months. Therefore, I feel I learned a lot of positive life lessons and that the experience was definitely worth while.

There was a lot of free time to travel during the time I spent at Lancaster University. Although the homework load was pretty easy, the exams were still quite difficult. |

The rooms are very nice and spacious. I was lucky enough to have my own bathroom. |

Although there is places to get food on campus, food is not included in a meal plan. So be prepared to do groceries every week. |

I was able to see all of the United Kingdom in great detail and meet many interesting people in the process. |

The only reason it was hard to stay on budget was due to the exchange rate between the U.S. dollar and the British pound. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Save as much money as you possibly can. No matter what the cost is, the experience you have overseas is worth it. Be smart with your money. |
