I learned about authentic english culture rather than the urbanized version of it. The classes were interesting, but the breaks in between while travelling Europe taught me about how to travel, different cultures, and also living by yourself.

Lancaster University's business and marketing departments were interesting, engaging, and challenging. They applied their courses to real life situations and helped prepare us for a future in marketing. Psychology... not so much. |

They were helpful, albeit often invisible. If you needed help, they were almost always available. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The rooms were single rooms with either shared bathrooms or private bathrooms, depending on which college you lived in. The room was small but comfortable. |

Food places on campus were decent although very expensive compared to food bought in town. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The 100 or so societies and clubs in Lancaster University help integrate you into the culture. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Healthcare was easily accessible. Often doctor appointments were not needed and instead you could just go to a pharmicist. |

Lancaster is very safe. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Not very easily, but this is England and so everything is much more expensive. Comparatively, though, Lancaster is cheaper than London. |
| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 40-60 pounds |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I suggest that you keep a budget for each month and also save up for trips. In the end, you're going to remember travelling Europe and England more than you're going to remember eating fish and chips four times in a week. |
