I learn that Muslims, Buddhists, Protestants and Hindus are very cool people. I learn a lot about myself and the things that really make me happy. I learn to not take life to seriously, there should always be time to relax and have a good time.

Classes were super engaging. I was glad they were not as tough and challenging as in my home institution because this allowed me to travel a lot. |

Office of Global Education from Lingnan was super helpful with things regarding arrival pickup, visas, course selection, etc. They gave us a lot of freedom once we got to HK. |

* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Dorms were very small compared to my home institutions. However, hostel life was very nice. I got the chance to interact with locals and a local roomate. My experience was very positive. One thing to bear in mind is that hostel regulation is very strict with regards to bringing people in which are not University students or from the same dorm. I guess it all comes down to security. |

The food was very nice. There was the dining hall (which you get tired quick) and a super nice restaurant (and cheap too, $5 a meal) with great Dim Sum!! |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Hong kong is such an international culture hub that you will get to interact with people all over the world. Most of my friends were from the Netherlands, Germany, Morroco, Russia, Spain and France. I also made lots of local friends who were very happy I was taking Language courses. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
No problems or health issues. |

Hong Kong is super safe. If you are smart, you will have no incidents. I felt more safe than in the US. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I met friends that shared so much about their cultures with me. After going abroad, I know that I really don't know much about the world. It has motivated me to travel more, learn languages and be more open towards new cultures. |
Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Hong Kong is very expensive!! However you can work your way around a little bit. Beer and wine is quite cheap. Same as food if you eat local foods and don't go to fancy places. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Going to the clubs can be expensive if you order stuff inside, but you can always go outside to a 7eleven (they are everywhere) and buy food and drinks there. |
