It was the best experience I have ever taken in my life. I would do it a million more times if I could. Take the good with the bad.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I felt that the grading system was a bit unfair, only because prior to the class and grading experience, I was not informed on how the system worked. And they way the professors graded was very biased and based on their own views and opinions. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
They were very helpful and made sure that we knew where and when we could reach them. Some of the staff would give the wrong directional info. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I wish I knew how far from the university the place I was living was. the university did not mention that to me. However, the people who worked there are amazingly friendly and highly helpful. I highly recommend Aigburth park. It was also a really great place to meet other americans, international students, and locals. |
* Food: |
I loved all the food. Especially chips cheese and gravy |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
When I went to Lake District and I climbed my first mountain ever! Also when I went to different countries and did some site seeing. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I felt safe walking in the dark by myself. though that rarely happened. anything can happen anywhere, but i feel there was less crime in my location than here at home. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | about 100 to 150 dollars a week for food, night life, and travel. Budgeting is the key. Make sure you plan out grocery, shopping, travel, and night life each week |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | write out how much you need to spend on necessary items. then budget from whats left over. |
