Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
One of the top academic institutions in the world. It will force you to become a more diligent student and learn how to study. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The program as a whole is amazing as you are completely integrated into the LSE, however the administrators of the General Course are quite incompetent and most of the time General Course kids are quite independent and do not rely on administrators. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Lived in Rosebery Hall in Islington near the Angel Tube station which in my opinion is the most social living arrangement for any General Course students. Too many students live in halls such as High Holborn or Bankside where it is filled with other General Course students or rich Freshers. If you want to get a real experience of England and meet people from all over the world as well as have an amazing social life, live in Rosebery.

refer to above comments on housing. Most social hall at the LSE. |
* Food: |
Food is not one of the reasons to travel to the LSE/London. While there are top quality restaurants and great ethnic food (especially near Rosebery), meals can be quite expensive. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I was able to travel to nearly a dozen countries and cities during my time there in large part due to 9 weeks of total break time during the academic year. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $200-$300 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Food is very expensive as well as going out drinking can add up quite quickly |
Direct Enrollment/Exchange
* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? | Direct Enrollment |
