Lorenzo de' Medici – Florence
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile, I learned so much about myself and other cultures and people. I would definitely travel, but stay some weekends in Florence because it is an amazing city! I think that my time abroad has been the most life-altering and educational experience I have had in college!

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Managable workload, I believe a fair grading system for most teachers want you to do well, and smaller class sizes than my home university. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Great advising staff, always will talk during advising hours. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Large 3 bedroom, living room, 2 bathroom and kitchen, very pretty and clean!

Really nice apartment, hard to live with 5-6 other people sometimes, but fun overall! Bedding and cooking supplies were already there, the apartment was in a very safe environment! |
* Food: |
The fruits, vegtables, cheese, meat and any specialty food are amazing and cheap at the central market! I would go to Esselunga(big grocery store)or 99 cent store (really cool in Italy) for other supplies! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Florence is an amazing city, filled with art and beautiful buildings with something always happening..and if you are bored with the city you can always take trips to other countries/places around Florence. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Definitely travel in pairs/group if you are a girl at night..I felt safe the majority of the time, you just have to be safe/aware of your surroundings. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|

|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | about 50 euros, but it fluctuated depending on if I went out or not. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | transportation into the city you are flying into sometimes cost more than the flight. |
