A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The location
  • The culture
* What could be improved?
  • The attendance policy was too strict.
  • The course workload was like going to an American University. Too much busy work.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew more about the travel companies. I did not use them in the beginning and would have saved more money if I did. Also Italy has a shop for everything. Every store is specialized. so sometime you need to go to five stores to get everything you need. Target does not exist, and many do not use Google maps to put their stores on the map. You have to talk to locals to find what you are looking for.

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
