Review Your Program
|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
When I asked my teachers what my grades were it was very unclear, and the grading system was not explained. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I found a lot of the work we were given was not well explained and it was very up for my interpretation for what my teacher expected of me. I liked our school library and felt that it was useful. My expectations were met. |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I felt safe in my neighborhood, my apartment was located in a good location. Most of the items were already supplied. |
| * Food: |
The food was not very expensive at the local supermarkets. I would suggest not going out to eat, maybe leave it to once a week, because going out to eat is how I spent a lot of money. |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
There were always events going on in Florence that were all very interesting and a great experience. |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
| * Safety: |
As long as you have common sense, I believe future students will have no problem regarding safety. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would give the advice of students considering a particular study abroad program to come with an open mind and to not make too quick of judgments, at first if you do not like your study abroad experience, you will learn to love it. The type of student that would benefit from this program is one that is looking for something new. |
