Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Work load was a lot more than I had expected! But I had to remind myself I also came to study! Europe was so amazing I often found myself always wanting to explore more, but work comes first! This was a life changing experience, and if I could I would do it 1000 times over.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was in the perfect location. Only 2 blocks from Vatican City. So amazing. Our neighborhood, Prati, was so perfect! I have to say that it was VERY VERY loud and sometimes i found some sleepless nights and morning because of horns and yelling and dogs.

* Food:

Amazing!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

They had a lot of programs for us to do!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

They went over everything with us! What has happened in the past, what to do if you get sick or get into trouble, and they let us know that the US Embassy is here for us!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Spent about 300 US dollars on food and personal expenses a week. (about 220 Euro) Have to remember the exchange rate!
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Books, I was told they would be provided for me. And I spent about 100 US dollars on books.
