Mexico Study Abroad Reflections: Comprehensive Reviews of Past Programs

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned about the history, culture and art of Oaxaca and I learned an incredible amount of Spanish. I learned a lot about myself and my reactions to new and unfamiliar situations and I learned how to be more independent and know how to make an important decision at the drop of a hat. This experience was SO worthwhile and I encourage anyone and everyone to have this experience if they can. It is life changing and I guarantee that you will love the change.

This is such an amazing city. I felt safe walking around at all times and even walking to and from places on my own but if at any point I was not one- hundred percent comfortable, taxis were easily available and super affordable.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Before I left for the program, I thought a month was plenty of time.
