Very worthwhile. I gained a greater appreciation and understanding that America, and the American way of life is not how the whole world lives.

My host family was very kind to me. I got sick, and my host mom María made me very mild food. She really went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable.

A few of us got sick. Our host provider as well as our MTSU staff were very helpful in getting us medicine.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Well this experience was amazing, but I want to see other places!

My host family spoke very little English, they were learning English, so it was good practice for both of us to learn a new language.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Locals in Oaxaca mostly wear pants, I brought mostly shorts.. I would’ve brought pants if I’d known. Haha
