I love México!

Personal Information

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I took the electives, and there was a heavy workload. I do not suggest taking more than one class at once at this university. The electives are very interesting just intense!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Sometimes it was hard to reach the supervisors. They were friendly and fun though during the activities.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

More meat would be nice in the host family setting.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Activities were a lot of fun. I wish I could live in Puerto Escondido!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Overall I felt safe. However, women shouldn't travel alone at night ever!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
Language acquisition improvement?

In my classes spanish was used. In my host home only spanish was used, and out in town spanish was used as well.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
