Middlebury - Dartmouth Engineering Dual Degree: Domestic Exchange in New Hampshire
I took engineering courses and gained valuable engineering skill. However, I didn't enjoy some of the broader courses as much as specific courses that were closer to what I study in my major.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
This is an extremely rigorous engineering program. You will have access to the full breadth of Dartmouth and Thayer School of Engineering resources. As or more intense than normal study. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Not a host country, but Dartmouth could have been a lot better at giving us the resources to start. We were given varying information about what orientation events we needed to attend and were never given a firm arrival date. We also had to go through a manual process of having individual courses from our home schools waived before registering for each course. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Coming from the far away land of Vermont, all the way to New Hampshire, it was hard to assimilate with the locals. After months of hard work learning the culture and the language, they accepted me as one of their own, but only after I made a sacrifice to Daniel Webster. |

Comments: | Extremely challenging, but rewarding. You will learn the material well. Problem sets take a long time (some up to 12 hours, weekly) and labs are graded rigorously. You sometimes have to redo labs if you arrive at inaccurate results. |
Credit Transfer Issues: | I didn't transfer credit. |
