Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Three of my four classes were great courses. The fourth had a well designed independent project but otherwise lacked structure.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The administration was great. Sometimes I felt they were a bit nosey but usually they were just trying to help

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I had a great home stay

* Food:

Food was delicious

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I struggled at times to integrate, as I really stood out in all places, but I made an effort to connect with locals

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Healthcare was accessible, and I used it. I found it was easier for me to manage these things on my own outside of the program, but the program supported students who requested it.

* Safety:

I felt safer in Amman that in a large city in the United States in many respects

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I had an amazing experience, with great classes, friends, host family, volunteering, travel, exploration, etc

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Transportation was expensive

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $110
