A Beautiful City and a Learning Opportunity Past Review
By A student (Middlebury College) - abroad from 09/03/2018 to 01/25/2019 with
Middlebury Schools Abroad: Middlebury in Cordoba, Spain
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot from this experience, both good and bad. My language skills definitely improved. I also did learn a lot about other cultures and other places in the world, and I met many interesting people. Classes were not particularly interesting but were not the worst. I did gain the experience of living independently and of being able to basically plan my entire day freely. However it was difficult at first, not just for me but for others in the program, to adapt and to figure out what we were doing. Doing everything in Spanish helped with the language learning but made the adaptation process and the process of making friends much more difficult.
