What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

I gained a new outlook on life and a new perspective on the world. It was very eyeopening to study abroad in a developing country and see first hand the economic development the country is undergoing.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.	The education system in India was highly inefficient. The professors did not assign homework and did not provide answer keys so it was hard to grasp the concepts I did not understand. The exam dates constantly changed and it was an overall chaotic experience.
* Host Country Program Administration On-site administration of your program	The program coordinator did a great job of exposing us to the lifestyle in Delhi and safety procedures.
* Housing: How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program?	Yes I enjoyed my time in Delhi immensely and I would love to study abroad there again.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget? (1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants?	Keep an excel spreadsheet of all the expenses. Although the dollar is stronger than the rupee it is easy to use more money than you want if you do not keep track.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?	Flexibility to travel throughout India Local friends I met Living in a big city
* What could be improved?	Students need to be informed of the testing styles Students need to be informed of exam dates
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program?	I wish I knew about the testing styles before starting the program because I did not know econ exams in India were similar to essays rather than short answer responses like in America. This really hurt my grade for my International Economics class and I wish I knew earlier so I could be more prepared
