What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I had a great time while in India. I learned a lot about being independent in a big city and in a school where students are encouraged to take initiative.

Amazing food everywhere. As for the program, we cooked for ourselves, though Vinita also helped us find a tiffin delivery service. LSR cafeteria has good options (also cheap!)

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None

How many hours per day did you use the language?
Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? We mostly spoke English, though we would use basic phrases on the streets from time to time. It would have been better to have a focus on speaking in the Hindi classroom, so that the students can build confidence in speaking.
