great to have apartment but our host (essentially landlord) was a bit unreasonable and frustrating about money. very happy to have own space though and was overall what i wanted besides the 'host'. |

florence has many american students, but through working at the Fattoria di Maiano and making an effort to speak and use the italian I was studying, I got a lot out of this experience |

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | internship was great for me to use italian. put yourself out there as best you can. Make a cafe or restaurant your spot and speak with the people that work there and they'll encourage you. |
