What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My French language skills improved a lot and I think my worldview/cultural exposure developed significantly as well. It was certainly worthwhile.

Yes
Though things were not always perfect (spent a lot of money, strikes and protests in the area affected daily life, etc), I still had an incredible experience overall. |

Paris is expensive and even looking for cheap options I easily spent over 100 euros per week on food and other necessities. I kept the rating at three stars instead of going lower because it was overall still more affordable than paying for room and board on campus at Middlebury. |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Language immersion is not an easy thing to jump into, and you should be prepared to be uncomfortable. That being said, it is worth the initial discomfort for the improvements you will make. |

Gaillard was very friendly and it was a pleasure to learn from her every week. Additionally, our class trip to Strasbourg was a lot of fun and very informative. |
