London is an amazing city Past Review
By Claire B (Literature, SUNY Purchase) for
Middlesex University: London - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
It was amazing. Not only did I love Europe but it also allowed me to feel comfortable on my own and experience what it's like to have complete freedom in a wonderful environment.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The school felt easy. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The information we were given wasn't especially helpful. Most things were useless and/ or learned by figuring it out myself. However, there wasn't much information that needed to be explained. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The shared bathrooms and kitchens became very dirty when the cleaners weren't around to clean but that was more due to my fellow students. |
* Food: |
I bought food myself since there wasn't a meal plan so it was good. The good part was that England labels food as being vegetarian if it's vegetarian so it was very easy to find the right food and be able to not worry about intensely reading labels. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Although I mostly just met people living in the dorms London is an amazing city. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I did get sick and it was a little difficult to get the right care. However, the city felt safe and it was easy to learn how to get around and to feel comfortable. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
Language acquisition improvement? |
I was in an English speaking country. |
