I can find my way around in almost any city now without feeling nervous about getting lost. I know how to manage money, and even if you don't speak the language, it's okay because people are generally nice and forgiving.

Yes
It's an absolutely incredible experience; being on your own in a country other than the US has a very freeing feeling. Do as much as you can and get to know the city you're in well. Go places. Stay out late. Wake up early. Eat good food and drink. Go to all the museums and have great cultural experiences. |

Everyone is there to experience new things, and even if you aren't friends, I can promise you will be by the end of the trip. |
