New York University: Paris - NYU Summer in Paris
I am so glad to have gone back to Paris and lived in a residential area. I also feel that navigating the city has helped me grow in confidence of my independence.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Wonderful teachers - I read one of the books of my 13-person class's professor, and he is extremely talented, as are all the teachers, as well as very nice. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
One must travel across Paris to get to the locations - there was rarely time to eat |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Never had a curtain for the month I was in the apartment |
* Food: |
Food in Paris is wonderful! However, little food was provided (and rarely), and there was barely enough time to eat |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Wanted more communal activities and museum/site tours |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
One must figure out the health system by oneself, and thus locate a doctor and go alone |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
