Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Professors were top of their field in the Czech Republic. Work load was manageable and allowed for traveling. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Administration was kind, helpful, and understanding. From the dorm monitors to the Program Head I had nothing but positive interactions with all involved. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Location was incredible. My dorm was in an upper middle class neighboorhood outside the tourist center. The area was clean, convenient to the metro and walking distance from the city center, and authentic. |
* Food: |
Not the cuisine capital of Europe. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Outstanding. Program hosted programs and encouraged students to take part of cultural events. The one I remember most vividly was the local university's masquerade ball that I attended with a friend. What an experience! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I felt comfortable in Prague, however it is a city so students should always take moderate precautions. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
Language acquisition improvement? |
I improved my Czech given the time/ scope of my travel. I used my Czech in everyday interactions inside and outside class, however my understanding of the language was very basic. |
