Made films with AMAZING people who I will be friends with for a long time Past Review

By (Film and Media Culture, Middlebury College) - abroad from 08/24/2013 to 12/13/2013 with

New York University: Prague - NYU in Prague

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained confidence, independence, and a better understanding of who I am. I experienced a very unique culture and got to learn about the history of the Czech republic from people who really lived it. I got to do an intensive film program that taught me a lot. I met amazing people in the Tisch program and the overall NYU prague program. These are friends I will have for a long time. I was able to travel to many different countries and experience all of those different cultures.

It is easy to live on a student budget. But, Midd students might not be use to having to pay for each meal. Prague is very cheap, but it took some adjusting to going from a campus with dining hall and meal plan to living in a city. Each dorm apartment had a Kitchen so we also cooked at home a lot.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? anywhere from $50-$100
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Budget out your week. Cook more in your apartment. Really just make sure you know how much you have to spend each week and it will be easy to stick to your budget.
