New York University: Study Away in New York City

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was absolutely worthwhile -- as an American Studies student (doubled with English) it was particularly useful to get to work with the actual racial and cultural diversity of a hub like New York compared to my general experiences with the more homogeneous South
