North Atlantic Basketball Academy: Dublin - Student Athlete Program
Buyer beware. I certainly learned a lot from this experience and am grateful for that, however I would NEVER recommend this program to anyone.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
NABA agreed to enroll me in a specific school but actually enrolled me in another school (an hour away) without notifying me. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Numerous misrepresentations made by NABA about the program. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Although my host family is very pleasant, NABA originally told I'd be sharing housing with other students in the program. NABA also infromed me that my accommodation expenses were included in the program fee we paid. They were NOT to our surprise. |
* Food: |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Although I feel integrated now, I had to do it all on my own. NABA provides no resources for their student/athletes whatsoever. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I had to deal with any health issues on my own. NABA provides no resources. |
* Safety: |
Dublin is great |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
NABA was not truthful and grossly misrepresented their program. We are out a lot of money because of it. If you are a serious about this type of program, do your research and look at other options! NABA is not a reputable program. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
The actual costs associated with the NABA program were grossly misrepresented. The program is extremely expensive with very little in return. We were conned out of a lot of money. |

How much did the program encourage you to use the language?
0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language |
