Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I appreciated and enjoyed the academic side of the semester. My personal favorite was the Omani culture and society class. It was wonderfully taught by a native Omani and was extremely informational and applicable to our time there. This course, along with Arabic, also taught by an amazing Omani professor, really helped to enhance our time in country. |

* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Amazing location, wonderfully kept grounds and home. Very safe, clean, and homey. |
* Food: |
We had alot of freedom with the food on our semester. Our weekely cook was fantastic, and I really enjoyed getting to eat local food. Weekly we made an "american meal" which each member of our team traded off making. This helped us remember home in the mist of a new place. All in all the food was great though. Very spicy! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Living very close to the hustle and bustle of downtown, we always had the opportunity to interact with Omani culture and life style if we so desired. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
unknown. never had an issue. |
* Safety: |
Never felt unsafe. Los Angeles was more threatening to me than Muscat was. Everyone is very friendly and kind. We typically stayed with at least one other person while going anywhere but all in all I never felt unsafe. |
