What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
yes! I hope to go back to Switzerland. We had a long layover in Zurich and I got a little taste of that country and I enjoyed it so much, I am planning a trip to go back!

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I brought a budget of 200 Euro per week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? There are no sales tax and tips are not required. We had to buy a few dorm items that I didn't expect to (towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? a student that is looking for an adventure and looking to experience new cultures. One word I would use to describe what I learned is "accept." I learned to accept other cultures and their experiences as well as accept the people I traveled with in their beliefs and experiences.

Comments: The point of the class was to travel around the city of Paris and see important and famous landmarks. We had to "haggle" our way in to some museums because the school did not pre-order tickets or let the museum know that our group was coming. This was a bit frustrating and I don't understand why we couldn't get tickets prior to the outing if we enrolled in the class far before we arrived.
