La Academia de España is a 100% immersion program for students in grades 9-12 held in Colegio Mayor Fray Luis de León in Salamanca, Spain. Students must have already completed at least two years of Spanish in school, and may sign up for a variety of courses focusing on a wide range of themes (from art history and cuisine to international relations and medicine), all of which are geared toward improving language skills.
The faculty includes scholars and academics, as well as creative professionals - artists and writers - from Salamanca, Madrid, and elsewhere. There are sixteen courses available, including Bellas artes, Cultura y cocina, Culturas hispánicas, Medicina, Relaciones internacionales and Spanish Language: Conversation and Composition.
