Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Ihad a wonderful experince. I was glad to meet such great people. This trip has given me more understanding of the French culture.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The faculty were very helpful during the trip.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We stayed in a hostel, sometimes the water was not warm. One of our lights were not working. However, the people were very cordial.

* Food:

There are many diverse people in the area, so I ate foods from all different types of cultures.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I had a wonderful time meeting new people and trying new things.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt completely safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try to save money, buy what you need, bargaining also helps.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

At first it was a little difficult. However, I do feel I have improved on my speaking skills. A lot of people in Paris know or try to speak English, so when they realize that I was American they would only speak English, but I always made sure to continue speaking French.
