Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The grading system was on a scale of 1-7, 7 being the best. The professors go there to teach and are not as attentive to their students like how they are here at Hamline, which is understandable because it is up to the students if they truly want to excel. I really liked the education I received in Valparaíso. I thought school work would be easy but it required just as much time commitment as my schoolwork here. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The program did not have any weaknesses. They made sure their exchange students were comfortable and were VERY approachable and helpful - more than the program here. |

|
* Food: |
I mostly ate pasta because it was the easiest thing to make! |

|

I felt very safe in Chile. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Each week, I would say about $500 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | None. |
