Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Although academics were different from those of my home institution, I enjoyed some of my classes in PRESHCO very much.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The on site staff played a very active role on a daily basis. They were always there to answer our questions and help us with anything we had trouble with. Because of them, the program is what it is.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived with a single woman in her apartment in Ciudad Jardin.

my housing gave me the opportunity to practice my spanish and experience spanish culture

* Food:

it was fantastic! my hostmom cooked my meals daily and was very respectful to my preferences.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

it was difficult at times to make spanish friends, but i enjoyed my non academic experience nonetheless because of my homestay situation and my friends from the program.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? About 50-70 euros a week, mainly from travel expenses
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Most spending will come from travel because meals and other needs are taken care of in your housing arrangement.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

Cordoba is a great city to study abroad because most people will speak to you in Spanish so daily interactions are all in spanish.
