What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I greatly improved my Spanish language skills, and I also improved my self-confidence as part of interacting in my second language. It was worthwhile.

I do not think Spanish culture was the right fit for me. As an International Relations major, I think that my personal career journey would have been better helped by studying Spanish in a Latin American country instead of in Spain.

You went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you!
