African Court of Human and People’s Rights 

This continental court was established in 1998 by African countries to ensure protection of human and people’s rights. The protocol came into force in 2004 and to date 27 states have ratified the protocol. The court is composed of eleven judges and has its seat in Arusha. Volunteers and interns can gain practical working experience and develop skills in areas of relevance to their careers. They have to be registered in or have graduated from a recognized academic institution.
