About

IPFW is offering this field school through the Department of Anthropology and the Division of Continuing Studies during Summer Session I.  The course carries six credit hours.  This course includes a one week preparation course and 29 days in Scotland.  It is an intensive training course, teaching ethnographic field methods.  Students will learn the methods of participant/observation and semistructured interviewing as they contribute to on-going anthropological research.  The field school will investigate the relationship between politics and religion within the run-up to the Scottish referendum for independence.
