Review Your Program
|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
It was a great experience in general. I took classes in Business, Economics and Mathematics. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
It was very well organized, I would advise connecting with current students to get information and recommendation about classes and tricks. |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved living in iFor Evans Place, it was very close to groceries stores, I had a sink of my own, double bed, and shared kitchen wand two bathrooms with other 5 neighbors. It was personally really nice! |
| * Food: |
I did not have the meal plan, I sued to buy groceries and cook! |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
It was so nice, everybody was so kind and involvements with clubs are the best way of getting to know people. |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I did not have any problem. |
| * Safety: |
I felt very safe on campus. You need to be careful with people riding bikes and stealing your phone. Besides that, as long as you are careful and just dont carry your phone in your hands out of campus you should be fine. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I wanted to even extend it for a year |
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
5 very easy |
| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $30 |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | As long as you cook and buy groceries in Samsbury's and Tesco, you will be able to safe a lot. Dont buy too much food, buy as you need. The university is very close to both so dont be lazy on trying to buy too much because you are only one. Get a Tesco card to get great discounts. Queen Mary has some soups and free sources for students. Be mindful on getting the buses more than the subway to save or even buying the monthly passes. Try to get a part job so you can also pay for travel around other countries. I would try travelling early in the semester so the flight tickets are cheaper as well. |
