What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to be open minded and respect other's cultures as well as to be as curious and adventurous as I could possibly be. Leave fear behind and explore the beautiful world right in front of you. Don't be shy and make as many friends as you can. These kinds of friendships will be everlasting.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I would like to give this program 5 stars however the academic rigor was not challenging enough for me.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I stayed at an off campus flat. It was great but I wish study abroad students had the chance to live on campus and experience more of an every day life on campus.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I wish there were more events and more chances to meet with other students and learn about local culture.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent probably around $100 a week since I was cooking my own food and buying my own soap and laundry soap
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Whenever I got a paycheck I put 70% of it into the bank and saved 30% for spending. With my 30% I saved it for going out with friends, movies, going out to eat dinner, and buy clothes. It's easy to save money if you limit your spending in the first place.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
