I had two host families. They are so nice!!!I love them! I like the food there, like to hangout with them. And I like their pets, too! They really treated me as their daughter. I will definitely visit them if I go to Japan again.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I do not really spend a lot on food because my host families provided me. For personal expenses, I bought many clothes and went to concerts, so I spend a lot. Maybe more than 400 dollars a week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The price for everything in Japan is really high. Higher than in the U.S. Getting scholarship is important.
