The Greatest Experience of my Life (thus far) Past Review
By A student (International Relations, Washington College) - abroad from 09/13/2014 to 12/05/2014 with
Royal Holloway, University of London: London - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
I learned a considerable amount about the culture and political aspects of not only the United Kingdom, but also the entirety of the European Union. The significant academic knowledge I accumulated was but eclipsed by the genuine friendships I acquired and maintain to this day. The only regret I have regarding this program is that it was temporary.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Honestly, it's not a 5 star rating because nothing's perfect. The professors at Royal Holloway were amazingly passionate, knowledgable, and involved. |
* Host Country Program Administration

|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I'm giving this an average rating only because this question isn't applicable to me. I was lucky enough to not need the Health Care services during my stay at Royal Holloway. |
* Safety: |
The doors to Founders should only be accessible by some sort of key- there were many fights instigated by people not associated with Royal Holloway. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
I saved money by going abroad.. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | around 25 pounds? most of this was spent on 'recreation.' |

Reasons For Studying Abroad
To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you. |
The Nearly Native or Trail BlazerCraving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.' |
