Study Abroad was worthwhile Past Review
By Kelly M (Health and Medical Administrative Services., Providence College) for
Royal Holloway, University of London: London - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile. It is something that I believe all students should try to do if they can. I learned so much about myself as well as other places around the world. I came back with a different view on life. I also came back with many life-long friends that made the experience even more enjoyable. You learn academically in class but you mostly learn about yourself and people from many different parts of the world.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Whether specific to the curriculum through my professors, or about culture and other processes of thought through other students from all over the world, I certainly learned a lot |

IFSA-Butler was AMAZING. Orientation was so much fun and I met so many awesome people that I remained good friends with throughout my stay in London. They acclimated us to the culture as best they could and provided us with a lot of useful information that made the transition much easier. They also planned a lot of fun events throughout the semester. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The accommodations at Royal Holloway are very nice. My flat, in Tuke Hall, was almost brand new. Everyone there, for the most part, lives in a single room with their own bathroom and shares a up-to-date kitchen with 6 or so other flat mates.

|

My program educated us immensely on safety and particular things to be cautious of in the country and while traveling. I felt very safe. |

Yes
|

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | For all of your travels and visits to other places, allot yourself a certain amount of money. Budget your travels before you leave for that particular place and try not to spend more than what you have set aside. |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would definitely travel and study abroad through IFSA-Butler, they were amazingly helpful and so fun. I would not necessarily go to Royal Holloway University however because it is a little ways outside of London. |
