Want to Stay Longer! Past Review
By Lily L (Fashion Merchandising, Virginia Commonwealth University / VCU) - abroad from 09/01/2015 to 12/16/2015 with

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned to be a lot more independent being in a country where I did not even know the language and was not familiar with the culture at all. I also meet and got to know so many people from all types of cultures whether it was at school or during my trips to other countries. It was an experience of a lifetime and made some incredible memories that I will take with me for the rest of my life.

The Nearly Native or Trail BlazerCraving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.' |
