What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained knowledge on navigating a heavily touristy place and what scams to be aware of and avoid. In my classes for anthropology, I learned more techniques for conducting fieldwork and noticing more about my environment.

I was hoping to get into Wellesley in AIX but many said it was unrealistic for me. This program was my backup and I had a great experience with the people I met and friend I made.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Between 60 to 100 a week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Set a budget one what to spend each week while also factoring trips and small excursions. Saving up in advance helps a lot.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Watch shows or movies in the language you will be surrounded by. Even practice your speaking by reading out loud to a friend.
