What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained independence through solo traveling and learned how to travel, live and experience new cultures with others. It was more than worthwhile, it was necessary.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Just speak. No matter how many words you leave out or say incorrectly, you are learning and practicing. And you will thank you and the locals will thank you for it in the end.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? That I would be living with another person. It worked out just fine. However, it could have been a disaster. And if the two of us could had at least exchanged a quick email before arrival and known we would be with another person before showing up in our rooms it would have been helpful
