Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Out if the 5 tutors I had 4 were excellent. They were very supporting, engaging and willing to adapt the course work to my interests! |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The programme office didn't always listen to our feedback with regards to the cultural experiences that we wanted to partake in. Furthermore, our critiques on the academic staff were not always listened to and taken seriously. But when they got things right, it was amazing. I particularly enjoyed our trip to the Isle of Wight and the programme office was able to secure a tutor for my Comparative Persian and Arabic Literature in Translation, a course that is not necessarily easily provided for. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The facilities were amazing, but the location made it such that it was quite a distance to the city centre and college, meaning that socialising in the college required extra effort and planning. |
* Food: |
The way the meals are set up is great. The ten free meals well got were very useful and enjoyable, any more might have been reactive because quite a few of us cooked for ourselves. The only this is, I wish the programme office had told us that we could top-up money our bod card for lunches a college. Lunch is a great way for Exchange students to socialise and meet Wadham students! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The programme office didn't have much of a role in that, as socialising was made possible through our college families, which are set up my the student run orientation committee. It would great if the programme office could sponsor or collaborate with Wadham on a mixer for Exchange students and second and third year Wadham students, as the age gap between the first years and us did not always make it easy to socialise. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Cannot comment on this as i never used the service, but the survey insists that i rate it- so i'll assume that it was average? |
* Safety: |
Merrifield is very secure and Oxford in general is a safe city, so safety was never an issue! |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 300 pounds |
