What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gain a self-awareness un-paralled to any previous experience. I encountered true diversity in a historical setting. In addition to learning academically I also gained a lot of knowledge culturally/socially. Best choice I've ever made.

I encountered no problems, but we were generally briefed on how to carry ourselves and to be cognizant of our surroundings.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Extremely affordable!

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? The most money I spent was on souvenirs on the last day, throughout my week there I spent less than 30 USD on additional expenses!

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If I'd applied earlier I probably could have secured more funding, and could have arrived earlier, left later.

The Networker
An active student leader, it was important for you to network abroad as well. Once overseas, you sought out student clubs, volunteered with local organizations, or attended community events. You encouraged your friends join you, and often considered how you could reflect your international experiences in a resume.
